Eight projects were recognized.
The
entries were juried by Ann Beha FAIA, Principal of Ann Beha
Architects; Elizabeth Padjen FAIA, the editor in chief of
Architecture Boston, a quarterly journal on design and design
research; and Alex Anmahian, AIA, Principal of Anmahian Winton
Architects, and a past winner of AIA Awards for Design
Excellence, and an instructor at the Graduate School of Design
at Harvard University.
The awards jurors met at Ann
Beha Architects on Tuesday March 9 to review all of the
submittals, reviewing each submittal in consecutive order,
making individual comments as well as jointly discussing
aspects of each submittal. A final round up discussion
identified the recommended winners.
Post jury, Ann Beha
generated a memo and comments summarizing the jurors’
selections. This draft was circulated to each juror, for
further review and revision. In some cases, the jury
recommended awards in new categories, though in most the
categories remain as submitted.
