AIA Members also have access to a variety of professional resources and technical materials at a discounted rate.

The AIA Store: Purchase books on architecture and design, in addition to gift and logo items.
The AIA Trust serves as a risk management resource for the practice of architecture in cooperation with the AIA national component, and offers insurance and benefit programs for AIA members.
AIA is about Advocacy: Serving as a voice on community, legislative and design matters and promoting AIA members and the value of their services to the public. AIA Hampton Roads members work collaboratively with the State (VSAIA) and AIA National components to strengthen the voices of architects in government and community leadership at the city, state and national level. To promote the unique value of architects and the importance of design excellence, AIA Hampton Roads features members' works through programs like the AIA Hampton Roads Design + Honor Awards.
Whether you are an intern or a firm principal, an architect working alone or in a large firm, a government employee or a corporate architect, the AIA has the resources and tools to help you meet your professional challenges. Membership in the AIA signifies your commitment to a high standard of professional ethics, to furthering your professional development, and to advancing the value of the profession.
When you join the AIA you become a member of the National AIA component, and you are assigned locally as a member of AIA Hampton Roads and the Virginia Society AIA (VSAIA).
